RELX pods for the Infinity family are closed, pre-filled pods with 18 mg/ml salt nicotine. Two generations are current: RELX Pod Pro and the newer RELX Pod Pro 2. RELX says both fit the Infinity, Infinity 2 and Essential devices. However, the power modes on the Infinity 2 and Infinity 2 Plus are designed around Pod Pro 2. The one pod that does not cross over is the original RELX Classic pod, which fits only the RELX Classic device.
This guide is for anyone in Dubai or elsewhere in the UAE choosing RELX pods or a RELX device. Which RELX pods fit which device?
RELX’s own pages are not perfectly consistent on compatibility, so this table is built from what each RELX source states. The sources are listed below it.

Where these come from:
- RELX’s international FAQ says the Classic device takes the original RELX Pods, while “the RELX Infinity and Essential devices are compatible with RELX Pod Pro and RELX Pod”. RELX also calls these pods “RELX Pod Pro/RELX Pod for Infinity/Essential”, which is why many people simply ask for “Infinity pods”.
- The RELX Pod Pro product page lists it as “For RELX Infinity, RELX Artisan & RELX Essential Device”.
- The RELX Infinity 2 Plus page says it “is compatible with RELX, RELX Pod Pro, and RELX Pod Pro 2 pods”.
- RELX’s Canadian store says Pod Pro 2 “is compatible with all Relx devices, including the Artisan, Infinity 2, Infinity, and Essential models”. The same page elsewhere lists only Infinity 2, Essential and Artisan.
- RELX’s Indonesian store lists the Infinity 2 as compatible with all RELX pods, but says its power adjustment works only with Pod Pro 2.
Our practical advice: Pod Pro is the safe universal choice for every Infinity-family device. If you own an Infinity 2 or Infinity 2 Plus and want to use the power modes, buy Pod Pro 2. If you own the original Infinity, Pod Pro 2 should fit, but RELX’s own wording is inconsistent. Try one pod before buying in bulk. Do not buy Classic pods for an Infinity, because they will not fit.

Which RELX device should you choose?
- Already own an Infinity? Keep it. It takes Pod Pro, which is the widest-available pod line, and there is no need to upgrade unless the battery has faded.
- Buying new? The Infinity 2 or Infinity 2 Plus gives you a bigger battery, faster charging and power modes. Eco for a lighter, longer-lasting pod; Boost for a warmer, denser hit.
- Want something simpler and cheaper? The Essential takes the same pods, without the extra features.

A note on puff counts: RELX’s own pages give different figures, from “up to 600 puffs” per pod on the international store to “up to 1000” per pod on the Canadian store. Puffs depend heavily on how long you draw and which power mode you use. Treat any puff number as a rough guide, not a promise.

Is 18 mg/ml strong?
18 mg/ml (1.8%) salt nicotine is a mid-range pod strength. It is lower than the 5% pods some customers are used to from other brands, and the same nominal strength as JUUL 2 pods. It also sits under the 20 mg/ml ceiling in the UAE’s e-liquid standard, which we explain in is vaping legal in the UAE.
How do you stop RELX pods leaking or tasting burnt?
RELX’s FAQ is unusually practical on this. The key points, in our words:
- Draw gently. Puffing too hard pulls liquid into the air path. A slow, steady draw works best.
- Don’t squeeze the mouthpiece. Pressure on the pod can push liquid up.
- Keep the device upright when using and storing it. RELX warns that lying or leaning it causes leakage.
- Brown residue is condensate, not e-liquid. Pale yellow is e-liquid. If you see brown, wipe the pod and the inside of the device before use.
- Finish a pod within about 15 days of opening. RELX recommends this for best taste. Unopened pods have a shelf life of up to 18 months stored cool and dry.
In the UAE we would add one more: keep spare pods out of a hot car. Heat thins the liquid and makes leaks more likely.
How to check RELX pods are genuine
Counterfeit vape pods are a known problem, and RELX runs an official verification page on its international site (relxnow.com/pages/verify). On Infinity devices the serial code is printed “inside the curved opening of the device”. RELX’s warranty does not cover products whose serial code has been tampered with or is not genuine. RELX also advises caution with unauthorised resellers. Check the code, and be suspicious of prices well below the market.
RELX vs JUUL: which suits UAE vapers?
If you are deciding between brands, the main differences are nicotine strength and pod system. RELX pods are 18 mg/ml and work across a whole family of devices. Do RELX Pod Pro 2 pods fit the original RELX Infinity?
RELX’s Canadian store says Pod Pro 2 is compatible with all RELX devices including the Infinity, but other RELX pages list only Infinity 2, Essential and Artisan. Pod Pro is the guaranteed fit for the original Infinity, so test a single Pod Pro 2 before buying a box.
Do RELX Classic pods fit the Infinity?
No. RELX states that the Classic device uses the original RELX Pods, while the Infinity and Essential use RELX Pod Pro. The two pod types are not interchangeable.
What nicotine strength are RELX pods?
RELX Pod Pro and Pod Pro 2 are listed at 18 mg/ml (1.8%) on RELX’s own stores. RELX has sold 0% versions in some markets, but we only cover the 18 mg/ml pods here.
How long does a RELX pod last?
RELX’s own figures range from about 600 to 1000 puffs per pod depending on the page and the pod. RELX recommends finishing an opened pod within about 15 days for the best taste.
Why does my RELX pod taste burnt?
Usually the pod is running low, liquid has flooded the air path from hard puffing, or condensate has built up. Wipe the pod and the device contacts, draw more gently, and replace the pod if the taste stays burnt.
