The JUUL flavours we carry fall into three families: tobacco (Virginia Tobacco on the original JUUL; Virginia, Autumn and Blackcurrant Tobacco on JUUL 2), menthol and mint (Menthol and Mint on the original; Crisp, Summer, Ruby, Polar Menthol and Arctic Breeze on JUUL 2), and fruit (Mango, Berry and Fruit Medley on the original; Apple, Watermelon, Mango, Lychee and Tropical Medley on JUUL 2). If you want one answer to “what is the best JUUL flavour”, it is the one closest to what you already enjoy: ex-smokers usually settle on Virginia Tobacco, menthol smokers on Menthol or Polar Menthol, and everyone else on Mint or one of the fruit pods.
Before you choose a flavour, check which device you own. Original JUUL pods only fit the original JUUL, and JUUL 2 pods only fit JUUL 2. The same flavour name on both systems is not the same pod. Tobacco JUUL flavours
Tobacco pods are where most former cigarette smokers start, and where many stay. None of the JUUL tobacco flavours tastes exactly like a lit cigarette – there is no smoke and no burnt note – but they give you a familiar dry, slightly toasted base.
Virginia Tobacco (original JUUL, 3% and 5%)
A clean, mild tobacco with a light nutty, roasted edge and a faint sweetness on the exhale. No cooling at all. It is the most neutral flavour JUUL makes, which is why people vape it all day without getting tired of it. The 5% hits noticeably harder in the throat; the 3% is smoother and better if you smoked fewer than ten cigarettes a day.
Virginia Tobacco (JUUL 2)
Juul Labs describes it as “tobacco, nutty and roasted”, and that is accurate. It is a little rounder and fuller than the original-JUUL version, partly because the JUUL 2 pod is a different, larger design. If you liked Virginia on the original JUUL, this is the closest match on JUUL 2. Virginia Tobacco JUUL 2 pods.
Autumn Tobacco (JUUL 2)
Tobacco with a light apple note and brown-sugar sweetness. Softer and warmer than Virginia. A good pick for someone who finds plain tobacco a bit flat but does not want fruit taking over. Autumn Tobacco JUUL 2 pods.
Blackcurrant Tobacco (JUUL 2)
A lighter tobacco base with dark berry on top and a slightly sweet finish. The blackcurrant is clear but does not hide the tobacco. It suits people moving from flavoured cigarillos or shisha who want something between tobacco and fruit. Blackcurrant Tobacco JUUL 2 pods.
Menthol and mint JUUL flavours
Menthol and mint pods are the obvious choice in UAE heat, and this is the widest family JUUL makes. The key differences between these pods are how much cooling you feel in the throat and whether the mint is spearmint (sweeter, softer) or peppermint (sharper, colder).
Menthol (original JUUL, 3% and 5%)
A classic menthol-cigarette style: strong cooling, a little tobacco undertone, minimal sweetness. This is the pod for menthol smokers. In 5% it is one of the hardest-hitting pods JUUL has made. Cooling: high.
Mint 18 mg (original JUUL)
Sweeter and more like chewing gum than Menthol, with no tobacco underneath. Because it is the 18 mg EU-spec strength, the throat hit is gentle, so the mint carries the experience. Cooling: medium to high.
Crisp Menthol (JUUL 2)
Spearmint and menthol, fresh rather than icy. The lightest of the JUUL 2 menthols in our tasting, and a good everyday pod. Cooling: low to medium. Crisp Menthol JUUL 2 pods.
Summer Menthol and Ruby Menthol (JUUL 2)

Arctic Breeze and Polar Menthol (JUUL 2)
Arctic Breeze is a sweet, creamy peppermint – think mint sweet rather than toothpaste. Polar Menthol is the coldest JUUL 2 pod: peppermint with a strong cooling finish. Fruit JUUL flavours
Mango 18 mg, Berry 18 mg, Fruit Medley and JUUL Fruit (original JUUL)
Mango is ripe and fairly sweet with no cooling. Berry is a mixed red and dark berry, a little tart. Fruit Medley and the JUUL Fruit pod are blended fruit flavours, lighter and sweeter than Mango. All four are out of stock with us at the time of writing; if fruit is what you want right now, JUUL 2 has a much wider fruit range.
Apple, Watermelon, Mango, Lychee and Tropical Medley (JUUL 2)
Apple leans towards a caramel-apple sweet. Watermelon has a spearmint edge, so it is lightly cool. Mango is fresh and only slightly sweet. Lychee is the boldest and most perfumed of the fruit pods. Tropical Medley is passion-fruit led with a cooling finish.

What is the best JUUL flavour?
There is no single best JUUL flavour, but there are reliable starting points:
- You smoked regular cigarettes: Virginia Tobacco. On the original JUUL, pick 5% if you smoked a pack a day, 3% if you smoked less.
- You smoked menthol cigarettes: Menthol on the original JUUL, Polar Menthol on JUUL 2.
- You want something fresh but not freezing: Crisp Menthol or Mint 18 mg.
- You want fruit: JUUL 2 Mango or Lychee, or Summer or Ruby Menthol if you like a touch of cooling.
- You get bored of one flavour: keep a tobacco pod and a menthol pod and alternate. Your sense of taste resets faster than you would expect.
A practical tip from behind the counter: buy one pack of a new flavour before committing to several. Taste is personal, and an original JUUL 4-pack or a JUUL 2 2-pack is a cheap way to find out.
Which device does each flavour fit?
This is where most mistakes happen. Original JUUL pods are 0.7 ml and fit only the original JUUL device, such as our JUUL Slate and JUUL Silver. JUUL 2 pods are 1.2 ml, carry an authentication chip, and fit only the JUUL 2 device or the JUUL 2 Starter Kit. Neither pod works in the other device. Frequently asked questions
What is the most popular JUUL flavour?
Virginia Tobacco and Menthol are JUUL’s core flavours: when Juul Labs withdrew its other flavours in the US in 2019, those two were the ones it kept. They remain the safest first choice for former cigarette smokers, on both the original JUUL and JUUL 2 (where Polar Menthol is the nearest match to the old Menthol).
Do JUUL flavours come in different nicotine strengths?
On the original JUUL, Virginia Tobacco and Menthol come in 3% and 5%, while Mint, Mango and Berry are the 18 mg EU-spec strength. Every JUUL 2 flavour is 18 mg/ml, so you choose JUUL 2 pods by flavour only.
Which JUUL flavour has the least menthol?
All the tobacco pods (Virginia, Autumn, Blackcurrant) and Mango, Apple and Lychee have no cooling. If you want a mint taste with very little ice, Crisp Menthol on JUUL 2 is the gentlest of the menthols in our tasting.
Can I use original JUUL flavours in a JUUL 2?
No. Original pods are a different size and shape and have no authentication chip, so a JUUL 2 will not accept them. You need JUUL 2 pods for a JUUL 2 device.
